Pink

I loved you.
More so unknown than I could ever tell you.
I did tell you.
I know that you knew.
I knew that you did too.

It was supposed to be eternal,
You and I.
Doing what we do,
across time and space.
Being us. Just us.

You were a flawed being.
With your stubbornness and beliefs.
I was too, and still am.
But it was our little world,
and us against everything else.

I picked you over everyone else,
sometimes even myself.
I truly loved you.
You were my first and my last.
You still are.

Every memory I have is shared.
With you.
All our firsts,
and our lasts.

I miss you Pink.
More than ever.

I am sorry,
I should have been there.
I am sorry I couldn't be better.
I am sorry.

Your memories are all I have,
Our times together.
I do not know what this life is without you.
It hurts.
Terribly.

Everyday is a reminder of something we did.
You are always there.
You will always be here with me.
Forever.

You are the only one pink,
and I cannot forgive myself,
I wish we could hang again.
Like we used to.

I wish I could talk to you,
for hours, and speak about nothing.
I wish you could be here,
with me.

Cosmic High

Do not worship this mortal body,
for I want you to hold my soul.
The idea that we're twin souls of a whole,
created by a cosmic fault.

I long for you lover,
in more ways than known to man.
For we do not belong here,
not in this restrained land.

And I want you to know,
I want you to feel this,
this energy that flows through me,
making me crave your soul.

I cherish your love,
your eternal adoration,
for this mortal damnation,
will never hold us long.

We would unite,
and stars would die,
and universes be reborn,
with this cosmic high.

My Eternal

If I do not know you,
in the next coming life,
or the million ones after,
I will come find you.

If you do not recognise me,
or feel the same way,
I will give my all,
just to show you I can.

If I fail to show you my love,
and if you fail to see it,
I would not lose hope,
I will come find you in the next.

If you do remember,
If you have our memories together,
Come find me,
Make me remember.

If I do not remember,
or fail to recognise you,
Do not give up on me,
For my memory is limited,
not my love.

If you do love me,
once again,
in another life, another time,
I promise you, you, my everything.
My eternal, my infinite.

Later.

Let’s not talk anymore,
Share no more ideas,
Forget the other’s words,
Fade away the memories.
Bury them deep,
Deeper than your repressed memories.
Erase the other’s presence
Wipe the past, the present,
and forgive the future.
Live, survive and be reborn.
In another time, another place,
to recreate, this moment,
and change nothing, not a thing.
Just us, in each other’s arms,
thoughts, memories and laughter.
Let’s exist, a little later,
in simpler times, and

a forgiving universe.

Nothingness.

She roamed his fantasies,
free and unbound.
Desire, lust and senses,
all fulfilled, all consumed.
He let his mind run free,
no shackles, no chain links,
no streets blocked, no bridges broken,
The world was theirs, and they took it.
They caught the last train out,
They saw the first ray in.
No stone left unturned,
No sea uncrossed.
She spread like wildfire,
into his fertile mind, empty soul.
He breathed fire,
choked on her desire.
Nothing else existed,
No other universe, but theirs.
No other being but self,
Even the nothingness belonged to them.
And from nothingness they were born,
creating everything, destroying everything,
Controlling everything, Consuming everything.
Once they were done, they went back,
back into the emptiness,
Into nothingness.

Fire

We met in chaos
With your world
half burning Into mine
Half consuming lust
Almost lovers loved
Separated by bodies
Mortals playing gods
In momentary haze
Their world screaming
Ours holding still

If I'd reach for you
Would you still exist
Would you consume
And let me
Or would you disappear
Into the night
As Another creature
All suffocating cage
Living with fire
Within fire, a fire

Away.

I miss you today
It's one of those days
When I struggle to breathe
Where I notice the void
Left behind by you
In my numbing days

I don't miss you On other days
When I have the world
To conquer and consume
When I replace you
With little things

But like yin and yang
You creep back into
Again and again
This lifeless existence
You disrupt my life
You make me notice things

I don't see colors anymore,
But see it's absence
Happiness almost present
Left longing for more
I hear your voice
Each note in every song ever made

And each night
I wish you were here
Every morning I long for your warmth
And all the things
That we left unsaid
I wish we could scream

Amma

You are my constant.
My world and everything in it.
It all started with you,
And ends with you.
You were my first friend,
My very first words,
And every breath since.
I have loved you for the longest,
And during the hardest of times.
I know you love me,
And you will to the very end.
You taught me everything I know,
You made me the man I am today,
Your sacrifices were our stepping stones,
You make us stronger.
I love you Amma.
I miss you every single day.
Happy birthday!

Surreal

I still search for you,
on every face i see,
in the lost cities,
in a forgotten time.
I see your shadows,
almost in my grasp,
losing at the sight,
every other night.
Yet you tease me,
giving me just enough,
keeping me hooked on,
making me believe.
I search in the cracks,
I break things to see,
I hope to find you,
and yet I wish I don't.
You will always exist,
forever and eternal,
at the outer edges of my reach,
bordering reality.
Will I ever find you,
or walk straight into you,
in a crowded place,
looking lost.
You will never let me,
your existence is transient in this realm.
But I will look for you,
I will look into your eyes,
hold you,
kiss you,
and forever want to forget i did.
because your existence negates mine,
we don't belong together,
we communicate through the cracks,
through unspoken words,
in imaginary places.
I will never have you,
but I will look for you.
In places, on faces.
I will look for you,
In worlds that do not exist.
and feelings that never did.

sugar.

With the past gone by,
And future away.
Lovers looking ahead,
Hoping the memories to stay.

The future looming closer,
The longing almost over,
dreading desires dead,
Hope seeking light.

The nights get colder,
With trembling memories of your touch,
The ghost of your skin,
Warming me up within.

Time flying by,
Dreams Coming true.
We're almost there sugar,
It's the time to be.

So hold on a little longer,
Let's fight those little monsters,
Because the life we longed together,
Is one worth dying for.

Marooned.

I loved only you,
And I have repeated these words,
every couple of years,
to beautiful people,
with selfish hearts.

I have raged battles with myself,
And they were all broken,
But i did go through lovers,
I loved them all,
These tides refuse to die down,

convoluted intricacies of this heart,
has made me a common fool
who falls in love at every chance
with beautiful broken souls,

with sharper edges and fresh wounds,
My delicate skin stood no chance,
My heart not even there.

Like changing seasons,
I floated anchor less,
from one love to another.

I offered them my soul,
a bit broken, a little bruised.
but i tried, with another hopeful smile
And I am back trying again.

this heart still craves,
for another broken soul
that completes this self, makes it whole
with the edges still sharp,
and the wounds forever fresh.

Good Night Timey Wimey.

Close your eyes love,
enough of this darkness.
Let us rise to light again,
Let's fall in love again.

Hold on to me,
while we drift away.
Into the unknown sea,
wake into another day.

Dream on now,
we're almost there.
Together as we imagined,
breaking into the dawn.

Close your eyes love,
Let me hold you.
Nothing more to fear,
The daybreak is finally here.

Our eternity. Yours and mine.

Under this Open sky,
with its billion stars dying upon us,
I will wait with you,
For our eternity.
Our intertwined destinies,
Spread across the stars,
As stardust on our lives,
Reaching far across the skies.
Come now lover,
It's time to leave,
This beautiful place,
And this eternal space.
Come with me,
Those stars are waiting,
To be conquered.
And we'll return,
When they all have been.
For this eternity is ours.
Yours and mine,
Under this open sky,
With its billion stars dying upon us.

Broken pages. Incomplete stories.

Memories remain,
Some recent, many past,
like faded old photographs,
Hanging in crowded coffee shops,
Where we had our big conversations.
About the little things.

But we did part,
Like the pages in a book.
To the end of this story.
Let's toss books and burn libraries.

When Clichéd metaphors wet our lives,
Strange ones emerge.
The shadows learn to whisper their tale,
Of how they miss the sun.

And so we start again,
One step and then another.
With memories to forget
And scars to heal.

You Love.

Who am I writing for anymore?
The ones who died never belonged.
The ones who live don't realise.
And Here I am...
Running away..
From my one true love..
You.
Your empty self,
wanting to be filled.
Milking my senses,
wanting my pain.
You Love.
You play me.
You indulge me.
You crave my soul.
I let you have.
Again today.
And will on all the numbered tomorrows.
You are my saviour.
You are my strength.
You are my salvation.
I live,
for our tomorrow.

Tear up now.

So there we were,
In our little infinity.
Holding on to whatever that was left of us.
As we wished time to stall
and life to go on.

Maybe years later,
I'd come back for this.
This little envelope of time,
in which we shared our love,
warmth and let it go.

I'd stand outside,
looking at us make the same mistakes
Over and over again.
Knowing somewhere deep down,
That there was no right decision there.
Only love. And loss.

A star kissed world.

Its as cold,
as we're Old.
Your memories etched.
Our lives stretched.
You and I,
another night under this sky.
Like yesterday and before,
for tomorrow and beyond.
The fire burning bright,
our hopes kindled right.
The light on your face,
casting shadows onto mine.
I ask you if we should wake up,
you want to hold on.
Under our limitless sky,
to our star kissed world.

Symmetry.

Right is left,
It left us a long ago.
Up is down,
Down that lonely road.
Light is dark,
Dark skin on light.
With is without,
Without your aching soul.

Noon is night,
That night your makeup smudged.
Strong is weak,
Your scent and my weak heart.
Shallow is deep,
Deep into my soul you looked.
Empty is full,
Full of our crazies.

Together is alone,
Alone one looked on.
End is beginning,
The beginning to our end.

A butterfly's pie.

They were meeting after a long time. He was anxious. She was cheerful. They had a summer together, and now a couple of winters since. They had named their weeks together on flowers. And there was a whole unkempt garden between them now. He called her butterfly, she called him apple pie.
So where does one start after ten reruns of their favourite TV shows, neither knew. It started with a crumbling apple pie on her plate and an open social networking site on his slate.

They met at a cafe. On a roof top. One of the busy by-lanes of a city they half explored in their previous life together. She asked for coffee - Black. No Milk. He wanted something cold to sooth his burning self. He asked for something Hot.

The place was set. The pleasantries exchanged. The accent changed. And the humour charged.

She had pretty eyes. His only for her. They wanted to talk, emote, maybe even communicate. And that is the thing with eyes, they just blink, flicker and close. And everything else is lost in between.

He did not remember why they parted, he did remember when. And the number of girls even since then. She remembered that night. And the sound of their fight. Her message tone echoed her fears. He was once too dear.

He dint love her anymore, of that he was sure. She wasn't sure why she still felt something weird.
They were like children lost in a playground from another time.
She smiled, he acknowledged. She had the same vacant expressions on her face. Something that he had not found anywhere else. He had the same grin, when he saw something he wanted.

He reminded her of everything that she had left behind to start afresh. She reminded him of the path he did not take. And on that day when the sun was setting over the city horizon, it did not matter to either of them. She just wanted to be with her apple pie. And he had found his butterfly.
Once Again.

A dreamer.

A dreamer who lived
Who loved
Every single dream
Of his realm
Smaller ones built
On banks of green
Bigger ones flowing
Covering all that seem
He lived there
In those castles he created
In those imaginary caves
And non existent happiness.
When everyone was happy
And nothing but happy.
Then came a dark day
And he did see it coming
He saw the cracks
Running across his dream
And slowly it did happen
Till that one day
When he last saw hope
A flower untouched.
For it was the first
And now the last
To be consumed...
It died
So did he.

Amid that dead dream
Lay a flower
In whose name
Once lived a lover...
